Skills Development Opportunity for front line staff and caregivers - Effective communication with people with disabilities begins with an evaluation of attitude, power and prejudice. This session will have participants examine the role that power plays in their interaction with those with disabilities and will give each an opportunity to practice new ways to understand, listen and relate to people with intellectual disabilities. This would be a great learning opportunity for anyone supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
