Out of Province Consulting
Vela Microboard Association provides a variety of supports for out of
province initiatives. These are provided on a cost recovery basis. The out
of province work has included projects, workshops, presentations and
customized consulting,
Projects
Vela has
been involved in a number of successful projects. Most recently Vela
completed work in Northern Ireland, assisting with the development of ten
Vela Microboards as well as assisting with the creation of an affiliate
support agency, Vela Microboards Northern Ireland.

Vela
provides local, provincial national and international consulting, workshops,
and presentations. These can be outlined or can be customized to meet
specific interests and needs.

Examples
of consulting options
a) 1/2 Day
Introductory Session
2.5 hr basic introduction
to the fundamental principles, functions, philosophy and intent of Vela
Microboards. 1 hr specific discussion related to local issues, ideas, and
perceptions. Total: 2.5 hrs
b) 1 Day
Session
Basic introduction as
outlined above (2.5 hours). With more detailed background information
related to functional foundation (2.5 hours). Thirdly, one meeting to
address specific questions and circumstances in local area (2 hours) Total:
7 hrs.
c) 3 Day
Session
This includes the above
one-day session outlined (7 hrs), but adds family meetings with
individual families (7 hrs). Very detailed information and discussions
related to the establishment of Microboards, set up process, advice on
proposals, and other requested information. (7 hrs)
d) Customized
Session/s
This can be negotiated
directly with Vela’s Executive Director, Linda Perry and can be designed to
meet your specific needs.

history, brief summary of process, and a couple of real life examples, with
short question period.

including information from presentations 1 and 2, but with much more
specific information and discussion on the process with more active
involvement of the participants
