Are you Interested in Forming a Vela Microboard?

Here are the suggested steps for creating a Vela Microboard:

Look through the basic information on this web site.
Consider the Principles and Functions, do they feel like a fit for the kinds of supports you are envisioning.
Take a look at the information provided by the people with Vela Microboards on their web pages.
If you are in British Columbia, contact Vela and set up a meeting with one of our Facilitators .
If you are outside of B.C., contact Vela's Executive Director and she will be happy to assist you.
Think about who you might want to sit on your Vela Microboard, talk to those people and/or set up a meeting with a Vela Facilitator and those people to discuss the idea of creating a Vela Microboard.
With assistance from the Vela Facilitator, complete the incorporation process to create a non-profit society.
Discuss person centered planning with a Vela Facilitator and decide how/if you would like to develop a person centered plan.
Work with your Vela Microboard members and a Vela Facilitator to create a plan and use this as the foundation to develop the supports you may wish to create.
